I think that this sugar free date cake is a love or hate thing. You either loves dates or not. I’m afraid that if you are not a date lover then this cake isn’t for you. This cake is jam packed full of dates. Have a look lower in this post for some other sweet treats that are sure to delight you.

The perfect sugar free date cake 


500g fresh medjool dates, pitted
8 large eggs
2/3 cup xylitol (suitable for baking)
2 cups almond flour
1/4 tsp salt



1.Blend the dates and eggs until the dates are well pureed and no large chunks are left
2.You then add the date mixture to the rest of the ingredients making sure that everything is well mixed
3.Next you lightly oil a spring form tin and pour in the cake mixture
4.Preheat the oven to 170C, place the tin into the oven  and bake the cake for 60 minutes (or until a toothpick inserted comes out relatively clean – it is a moist sticky cake so the toothpick won’t come out totally clean)
