SUGAR FREE GRANOLA
Welcome back to Sandtondiet and to this absolutely divine sugar free granola recipe.
I have to tell you that one of my favourite breakfasts is granola. The problem however is that most granola recipes are jam packed full of sugar and oil. Hence my quest to make a sugar free granola recipe that is also low fat.
I have used a combination of sugar free options to make this granola taste spectacular. The oats is roasted in a combination of a caramel flavoured xylitiol blend as well as some stevia. When you are cooking with any kind of sugar alternative it is important to make sure that they are suitable for baking. If you just use the sweeteners that come in pre-portioned sachets they go horribly bitter when you use them in baking. So my top baking tip is to find products that are suitable for baking.
For this recipe I just used oats for my granola. I did this because it is a wonderful base to start off with. You can however add any other bits and pieces to this granola that you want. For example and nuts, seeds or dried fruit would be wonderful additions to this sugar free granola recipe.
